Practical answers

Questions organizers ask before choosing a room

What is a virtual escape room?

A virtual escape room is a connected online puzzle experience that a group solves together. Escape Room is being designed for browser-based team play rather than VR or a static worksheet.

How will the online escape room work?

A host will choose a room, create an event, invite participants, divide the group into teams, and start one shared competition. Teams solve independently and appear on a final leaderboard.

Will participants need to download anything?

No. The planned experience runs in a modern browser without an app download or VR headset.

Can we play over Zoom or Microsoft Teams?

Yes. Remote teams can keep using their existing video platform for voice communication while Escape Room provides the game experience.

How many people will be able to play?

Planned launch tiers range from private groups of up to eight to company events of up to 100 participants. These capacities will be confirmed through early-access testing.

Will the game require a facilitator?

No paid facilitator is planned. The organizer will start the event and follow progress through a guided self-serve host view.

Can teams compete against one another?

Yes. Simultaneous team competition, progress tracking, and a final leaderboard are central to the planned product.

How long will an event take?

Full rooms are planned for a 45–60 minute block. A separate, limited 10-minute free preview is planned for later.

Will there be a free version?

A limited free preview is planned, but it is not yet playable and no free-search landing page will be published until it exists.

Is Escape Room available yet?

Not yet. Escape Room is in prelaunch. You can create a shared Online Group Games account and register your group’s early-access interest now.
