The planned event, step by step

How the virtual escape room will work

Escape Room is designed to make the organizer’s job predictable. Choose a room, create one event, share the invitation, form teams, and start the clock. Participants solve in the browser while the host follows the event from a separate overview.

Before the event

Choose, create, and invite

The host will choose a ready-to-play room and create an event for the expected group size. Escape Room will generate a secure invitation link or room code. Participants open that invitation on a supported browser; no app installation or headset is planned.

  • 2. Create the event
  • 3. Share the invitation

At start time

Form teams and race the same clock

Participants are divided into smaller teams before the room begins. Every team receives the same challenge and starts together. Team members inspect evidence, discuss connections, submit solutions, and use available hints while the host sees progress at a high level.

Choose your setting

The same room can fit remote, hybrid, and in-person groups

Remote teams can speak in breakout rooms. In-person teams can gather around laptops or tablets. Hybrid events work best when the organizer gives every participant an active team and a clear voice channel. Escape Room supplies the game layer, not video conferencing.

Practical answers

Questions organizers ask before choosing a room

What does the host do during the game?

The host starts the event and follows team progress from the planned overview. They will not need to perform clues or act as a facilitator.

How do participants communicate?

In-person teams can talk normally. Remote teams use their existing voice or video platform, ideally in team breakout rooms.

Will teams see each other’s answers?

No. Teams are planned to solve independently. The host sees progress and the final leaderboard, not a shared answer feed.

What devices will work?

Current desktop and laptop browsers are the primary target, with tablet support planned. Exact compatibility will be published after early-access testing.

Can we try it before buying?

A limited free preview is planned but is not yet built. Early-access registration is available now.
